Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in the Supply Chain
Challenge
A world market leader in food production has been dealing with sustainability issues for several years. Driven by SDGs and ESG ratings, the customer wanted to promote diversity in procurement and in the supply chain in order to carry their own corporate values and strategic core goals into this field of action.
Project
Together with a cooperation partner in sustainability consulting, factor-D implemented a multi-phase project consisting of a benchmarking analysis, a customer survey, a survey of the current supplier structure and an investigation of the most important drivers for supplier diversity.
Impact
The customer received clear recommendations on how to set up a supplier diversity program and systematically promote DEI in procurement and the supply chain. Particular attention was paid to connecting DEI to the overarching corporate strategy.
