Challenge
The Vienna Business Agency supports local and international companies in all phases of their business development, advises on business issues and helps expats get started in Vienna. Its goal is to position the capital of Austria in the international economic environment and to strengthen Viennese companies and their innovative strength.
Diversity is very important to the Vienna Business Agency. It is at the core of its mission to support target groups in their diversity and to offer everyone the same opportunities.
Project
We have been accompanying the business agency on its DEI journey since 2017. We conduct two-day awareness training courses for employees on "Gender & Diversity," which are designed to be application-oriented, i.e. the transfer to work practice is our focus. In this way, we do not only sensitize the participants, but also support them in developing practical tools that are relevant to their daily work.
In addition, we have jointly developed an eLearning course on the subject of "Unconscious Bias - Diversity-Conscious Evaluation of Funding Applications," which all external and internal members of funding juries are required to complete in order to make better, unbiased decisions.
Impact – The Client’s Voice
The many years of cooperation with factor-D have enabled us to anchor the topics of gender and diversity in the company in the long term and to have them permanently present. We are happy to use the broad expertise of factor-D to sensitize and qualify our employees and partners in these subject areas.
